Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in 335 Dune

Hi loves~ Sorry again for the long hiatus. But I am back today! Sorry ;-; I said I'd do a post about my birthday but there isn't much to post about that so I may or may not do a post on that later. So... Sorry for the URL change again, I promise I won't change it again for a while. I just wanted it to match my tumblr URL so... Sorry!!! I won't go and change the other pics though so I saved the previous URL okay. Now, onto the review!
So, this is the Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation and I'm sure there are millions of reviews of this but oh well. I really don't buy much anymore so yea... I bought this in the color Dune and it only came out to about $4 since it was on clearance at Target. I have been using it quite often, but not daily. It is a light foundation that has a mild, clean kind of smell to it. However, it can be too perfumey to people who are sensitive to scented products.

I got this in 335 Dune, which is the second to last color. It is not really all that dark. I don't think that the color range for this foundation is too bad, but it is not as diverse as other foundations are.

Here is what it  looks like when you open it. It's not the nicest packaging since you do have to squeeze it and it sucks because it explodes when you open it sometimes due to the pressure. Like it did when I did this review.

So here is a gigantic swatch...

What it looks like when smudged out. As you can see, it is pretty sheer and also, a little goes quite a long way. It looks like it leaves a white cast but its ok really. I just didn't blend it all the way. And it'll oxidize after applying, so don't worry.

So, here we have the sharpie dot test. And, as a result, it really doesn't cover the sharpie dot. So, we can conclude that this is a very sheer foundation and it is meant for people who don't have much to hide. I use this on days where my face is reddish, but I still have to use concealer to cover blemishes. It's not a bad foundation, but I don't think I have a use for it really.
Throughout the day, it doesn't really do much, I mean, it is still there when I take it off at night, but the coverage is hard to monitor since it doesn't offer much coverage in the first place.
Good thing I only paid $4 for it because I don't think I would have paid full price for it, since it is so sheer.

Rating: 8/10
Price: Honestly, I couldn't find it online, but my clearance sticker said $9.79 for Target
Where?: Drugstores
Repurchase?: Probably not.

Cat Pajamas!

Hi everyone! Sorry about the long wait for a post! Here, I come to you with a short but ultra kawaii post~

These are my favorite thing this month. Its a super cute pajama set! The shirt is lightweight and grey (grey, gray?) and reads,"i  cat naps"
The shorts are thin, light blue, and have a cute cat print! They are also elastic with drawstrings.
You know these are cute!
I got these at Forever 21 for $12.80. Most expensive pj's I own.

Sorry I haven't been posting! I haven't had a free day at all last month. Not even the weekends, believe it or not. Fridays were homework. Saturdays were Key Club/Science Olympiad. Sundays were days out with the family and more homework. So busy! T^T I promise that I will post whenever I have free time. I've been wanting to review that Natureluxe foundation I got for like $4. Alright, now I'm off to finish homework!

Stay kawaii~

Forever 21 Haul

Uguu my hands are PEELING. We did a Car Wash for Key Club yesterday and my skin is crying! Anyways. Sorry for all of the clothes hauls lately... We'll get back to normal makeup reviews soon. So, I recently ordered some stuff off of Forever 21 and here they are... Oh. For reference, I'm about 5 feet and 105 lbs.

The first thing is this shirt:
This was called "Oversized Ditsy Key Tee". I read in the reviews that it would shrink, so I got a medium. Honestly, this is my least favorite item. It's really awkward when I wear it. So, I don't know what I'm going to do with it. It's really unflattering. The sleeves are really long... It's also really sheer, so am undershirt is necessary. This shirt was $7.80, so it wasn't too bad. I'll have to find a way to wear it.

Okay, so heres the next item:
This is the "Girly Chambray Skater Skirt". I think it's my favorite item! I got this in black, size small. They have two other colors. A dark denim blue and a light wash denim. When I went back to the website today, they no longer had the black ones. This goes up to my waist and about a couple inches above my knees. At first I was scared that the fabric would be thin, but it was actually really thick! There is a side zipper for closure.
There's no elastic band, so I recommend you try it on at the store. I wish I could have done that because I probably would've gotten a medium, since it is a bit tight and a little short for me. The small fits, but comfort wise, I think I would choose a medium. Unless the medium was too big.. Uh. Well. About this skirt. Yes. Okay. The one complaint I have about it is that it wrinkles very very easily. Don't fold it or you'll have an awkward crease. IRON TO THE RESCUE.
This skirt was $13.80, which isn't too bad. They have a knit skater skirt online now for $10.80 and I wish I got that one instead. Stupid new arrivals.
excuse the dirty mirror
Here is a photo of me wearing my favorite outfit. This skirt and a cat shirt.

Here is the next item:
This is a "Rose Print Tee". This is such a pretty shirt, in my opinion. It's loose and flowy. I got a medium in case of shrinkage. It was $13.80. The shirt is very lightweight, soft, and smooth. But I know the smoothness will be gone after I wash it today, since I had a floral tank top that was the same material. Okay, I hope you understand when I say this but this shirt is cold. I don't know how to explain it. I suppose that means its made of light fabric. I don't know. I would've gotten a small but Forever 21 and shrinkage are like best friends I dont-

Oookay, next item.
This is a really cute polka dot top with a peter pan collar and a peplum bottom of sorts. It's that material that these kind of shirts are made out of, if you know what I mean. It was on sale for $11.99 (originally around $17.80). It's very cute! It has a button closure down the back. I ordered a medium. There isn't much to say here.

Next!
This is exactly what it looks like. A tank top with bicycles. I ordered a medium, but should've chose small. But again... shrinkage. This was $7.80 and it's pretty long on me. Very cute.

Last item:
An owl print shirt! This was $13.80 and its super cute. In the reviews, I read that it runs small and that it does. Its very short and it does in fact run small. I ordered a medium, and I wish I ordered a large. Its cute though. The collar is made out of 'dress shirt material' while the majority of the shirt is chiffon.
Its really sheer as you'll see in the photo below.

Sheer.

So, thats that. Thanks for reading, lovelies!

Cotton On Mini Haul

Hi everyone! I just wanted to tell you all that I think I'll be revising my old posts, so they can be more helpful for people looking at them now. My old posts are not the quality of a review that I'd be satisfied with, so if I still have or use the product, I will be revising.

Now onto the mini haul! Cotton On was having a big sale, so I ordered some things off of the website. This is just a small little haul sort of thing. I believe I ordered them last Wednesday and today is Monday, so the shipping time wasn't too bad. For those of you that don't know, Cotton On is an Australian brand. Most of their clothes are made of well... cotton. I think that the prices are a bit high, but at an outlet, they are pretty wonderful. ($5 dresses!) So, lets get started!
First off, we have some tights. They're just your basic black tights. These were originally $7.95 a pair, but due to the sale, they were $2 a pair. So this is $4 in tights, which in my opinion is a bargain... Since tights rip so easily..

These are just some basic skinny belts. This set of 3 belts was only $2! The original price was $7.95.

This is just a basic blue sleeveless top. The name is Katja S/L Shirt in the color Delta Blue. Its darker than it looked on the website, but its okay. This shirt was originally $24.95 but I got it for $5!

This is the Alma Textured Beach Tank in Black, originally priced at $14.95. I purchased it for $2. As you can see, its a see through tank top. Definitely beachwear. I didn't know it was so thin, but thats what happens when you online shop.

Lastly, we have these Eden Eternity Scarves in the colors Black and Gardenia. These were originally $19.95 but I got them for $5 each. I've been looking for these at a good price for a long time so I was really excited to get these. Now I have some scarves for winter!
Thanks for reading this short post!

Summer/Back to School Haul

Hi guys, I know I haven't posted like I said I would, so I'll be posting this compilation sort of thing right now. These are things I've purchased this summer... Yea. Um, my style in clothes has definitely changed, since the last time I made a clothing post. So, lets get started. I apologize in advance for these horrendous pictures, I lost my camera awhile ago... So these are all taken with my phone camera... Also! WE'VE CHANGED OUR URL to http://kawaii-nesss.blogspot.com/  ^.^
So first we have a mint colored sweetheart dress from Forever 21. It was $15.80 and I bought it about a month ago. I've worn it once; to 626 Night Market, which was really fun ^.^ This dress is very light and it has padding in it, which is nice, but I wore a bra under anyways.

In the middle, we have another dress from Forever 21. It's more red than the picture shows. It's very bright and summery. This dress was $14.80. I think it'd be super cute with a belt.

Next we have a high-low dress from Cotton On. This was only $5! It's pretty, but I think I'll need wedges to wear this, since its long.
These shorts are from a store called Fashion New Age, that is nearby where I live. They are high waisted shorts and I have been looking forward to getting a pair, so I'm excited to wear these. They were $10.99.

These shoes are super cute! They are from Marshalls and they were $16.99. I like these because they're a little different from normal flats, since they have the little laces there. And they cover up my ugly Tom's tan so yay ^_^

And last but not least, THE CAT SHIRT! If you know me, you'll know about my obsession with cats. This shirt was from Forever 21 and once I saw it, I was set on purchasing it. To my luck it was $8.80, which isn't too bad. Kitties!!!
Here we have more dresses! The first one is from Cotton On. It's a navy blue dress. Trust me. And it is really flattering, in my opinion. Its got little dots made of fabric all over it, so that gives it texture. If that makes sense... This one was $10.

In the middle, we have a black (trust me again) lace dress which is also from Cotton On. This one was also $10. I just like how soft it is and how the lace isnt obnoxiously visible unless you look closely.

The last dress is a light pink high-low dress I found at TJ-Maxx. It was on clearance for $10 and its really pretty. I think the reason why it was $10 was because there was a small lipstick stain, but it's really inconspicuous and I think I'll be able to get it out. Again, I'll have to wear heels with this... I'm short.
This dress is another one from Forever 21. I saw this about 3 times before I actually bought it, because I fell in love with it but I tried to hold back on buying more dresses. As you can see, I have quite a collection now. This dress is tight fitting, so I got a size up. It has a key print (the keys are velvety), which I love, since I'm in Key Club. I ought to wear it to a meeting and see if anyone gets my sense of humor. Don't worry, it's not actually a club about keys. Uh, anyways. I think the back on this dress is super adorable. Its kind of open but it just makes it cuter. This dress wasn't too bad at $13.80.
Don't worry, this is the last picture. In the upper left hand corner we have a nude colored tank top with a bow pocket (adorable). It's that chiffon style fabric. It's from a store near me called G-Stage and I think they have quite a few locations now. Some of the clothes here are really inexpensive, and some are overpriced, so you have to look around. This tank top was $11.99, which I normally wouldn't think of as a steal, but I'm really in love with it.

The second top is also from G-Stage and it has a bow in the front. It's navy blue (darker than the picture) and it's chiffon in the front and a softer jersey knit type of fabric in the back. This top was $7.99. See what I mean by some prices are good and some aren't as great?

The two makeup items were also purchased today, from Target. The Covergirl Clean powder is the powder I have been using, but since my first one broke and is almost all gone after attempting to salvage every bit, its time for a new one. I got it in the shade 150 Creamy Beige. It was about $6,  but I had a coupon for $1.50 off. The Natureluxe foundation was not something I was planning to buy but it was on clearance for $5, so I thought, why not try it? I had another coupon for $1 off, so yeah... I'm excited to try it and review it for you guys. So far, I've only smelled it. It smells clean, I like it.

So, we've reached the end of this looooong post. Thank you so much if you read through the whole post!

Essence Eyeliner Pen

Hi guys, finally, a new review! So, meet my new favorite eyeliner!
I've been using this one for a while now and it hasn't run out...yet.
So for those of you who don't know about essence, you should. They're pretty reasonably priced for what you get. I did a review on their concealer awhile back, so I apologize for the content, but it's pretty thorough. You can read that here.

On the packaging, it says:
eyeliner pen for a precise line
colour intensive and extra longlasting
smudge-proof
It does pretty much all of this, so nothings really wrong here. The color is dark enough, so that its not grey, thank goodness. If you accidentally rub your eye, it might rub some eyeliner off, but it doesnt smudge around (another thank goodness) and reapplying would fix that right up.

Okay, so for the tip. The tip is pretty thin and its a felt tip, which I really like. I can easily create winged liner. sorry for the blurry photo.
Before, I was using Stila's Liquid Eyeliner pen, but that was $20. I'd say this is comparable, however, Stila's pen was thinner and the formula was waterproof, while this is not. Another product it is comparable to is the e.l.f. eyeliner pen, however, that dried out so quickly, I never got to do a review on that one!

It lasts pretty well though, and it doesnt flake off. I've worn it all day and it stays pretty well. If you feel the need to reapply though, go ahead.
It doesn't put much of a fight against water, or any liquid, so beware if you sweat. I had to put eyedrops in and it kinda disappeared... Which leads me to another thing I like about this. It comes off easily with water. I remember using the Stila one and taking it off was a pain. If I forgot to remove it before a shower, I would come out looking like a horror movie character, with eyeliner running down my face. I would also need to remove that with makeup remover after. I think that might be good though, since it implies good staying power.
Anyways, this one comes right off with my face soap and water, and it doesnt even stream down my face. When applying it, you can quickly wipe it off with a Q-Tip and everything will be okay. But if it already dried, just put some lotion on the Q-Tip. I really do love this eyeliner

Essence Eyeliner Pen
Rating: 10 out of 10 (best one I've found... still looking forward to trying waterproof version)
Price: $2.99

I've Changed...

Hi Guys!
So here I am, back on the blog. And I did a little updating!

Yea... So I just wanted to go back and tell you guys why I don't use certain products anymore and why my everyday stuff has changed. To be honest, this is a stupid post and something I just felt like writing.

So lets start off with shampoo.
Honestly, the herbal essences was giving me bumps on my head >.< and I was getting sick of the scent. And I didn't think the conditioner was very moisturizing. I find the TRESemme ones to work better and I am so so happy because I had been waiting to try TRESemmes shampoo & conditioner.
I also switched my hairspray because my hairstyle has changed. I don't need extreme, crunchy hold anymore so I switched to something thats definitely lighter. I also stopped using the gel since my hair has grown out so its not as uh flyaway-y?

Next up is Skincare. Not much has changed, just moisturizer... theres no explanation for that because I LOVE the Olay one... It just got expensive...

Alright, now for makeup. I dont really use foundation but I have changed from the Sephora one, since I don't really like that one as much as the Maybelline one. Concealer is the same...  Setting powder changed because the e.l.f. one made me look pale and awkward. I still have it in my drawer... Mascara is same... I also changed my eyeliner since my other one go stolen by my oh-so-lovely (not) sister. Besides, I like the pen application much better. And I wear a lot less makeup on a daily basis, but that is due to laziness~

Thank you for spending time with me today, I appreciate it ^^
I hope I can post more this summer<3 p="">

xoxo, mochidinosaur
